Typed up interview
Firstly what would you say about Katy Perry’s California Dreams Tour production?
E: I thought it was very good I liked the props and costumes.
G: Overall it was fantastic
R: It was a fantastic experience
Which costume most appealed to you during the concert?
E: The peacock outfit
G: Glittery sparkle dress with the pink circles
R: The peacock outfit
What did you think about the videos introducing certain parts of the concert?
E: Thought it was very well thought through and different
G: They build the audience up and build the atmosphere
R: They were amazing
So did the backing dancers make it more of a better production?
E: Yeah I enjoyed seeing the purple cat
G: Yes you could join in
R: It was better with the dancers
Did you enjoy the way Katy Perry involved the crowd during her performances?
E: Yes I thought it was nice when she got 10 people on stage
G: Yes
R: Yes
Do you think she could have improved her concert?
E: No I thought it was planned very well
G: No it was the best concert
R: No
Did all her on stage props match the overall concert?
E: Yeah they were wild and very colourful
G: Yes it was all one big theme
R: Yes they did

E: I like her because I enjoy her music and I think she’s a fantastic role model

Katy Perry’s California dreams tour wowed audiences all over the world. With a sold out arena tour Katy Perry had many fans showing their support to the 27 year old American singer/songwriter. Katy Perry also known as Kathy Beth Terry did two stop out shows at the echo area in Liverpool back in March and October 2011. After selling 192,000 copies in its first week and releasing six singles of her album Teenage Dream, Katy Perry toured around Europe, Australasia, Asia and America doing a total of 124 shows! The album Teenage Dream was nominated for best album of the year 2010! The next year Teenage Dream won International Album of the year at the Juno Awards 2011. As well as performing songs from her Teenage Dream album Katy Perry performed some of her older songs from the album One Of The Boys which was released back in 2008. It released four singles and sold more than 5 million copies worldwide! As well as selling over 5 million copies off her One of the Boys album Katy Perry’s album was nominated in 2009-2010 for two grammy awards.

Publication Plan
Title: Beat

Positioning statement: bringing you the best of pop
Price: £2.50
Distribution: newsagents, supermarkets, online, record shops and concerts.
Rationale: the magazine will be from the fans perspective. It will involve interviews from pop music concerts and with successful artists. The interview will focus on what the fans want to find out about the artists.
Style: Informal. The magazine is for all pop music fans and will use vocabulary that is easy for the audience to read. I’ll use simple short paragraphs so the audience can understand.
